Environmental Services Technician

The Environmental Services Technician performs cleaning functions to maintain a sanitary, safe, and orderly condition throughout the facility.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • 1. Follows established cleaning methods and procedures in performing cleaning duties.
  • 2. Uses only cleaning supplies and chemicals that have been approved by management.
  • 3. Adheres to guidelines for fire and general safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information.
  • 4. Reports areas in need of special cleaning or repairs to appropriate supervisor.
  • 5. Assists in the maintenance of equipment and organization of supplies.
  • 6. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

In lieu of education: One-year experience as a housekeeper in the hotel/ motel commercial/ industrial sanitation or health care related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Commitment to the University’s core values. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
