Job summary

WellSpan Health is seek­ing an Environmental Services Technician I for part‑time shifts. The role supports cleaning and maintenance of patient rooms, offices, and hallways in a hospital setting.

Work involves moving furniture and operating cleaning equipment, with daily responsibilities including preparing spaces for events and maintaining infection control standards. Shifts are Mondays and Fridays with rotating weekends, 8am–4:30pm, and pay starts at $18.50 per hour.

General Summary

Performs a variety of general and specialized cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. Assists in the environmental services department as needed to lift, move and relocate furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

• Performs duties of the Environmental Services Technician I.
• Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors.
• Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
• Moves, removes, and relocates furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc. as directed.
• Shampoos rugs and furniture. Cleans vents, fans, and other equipment using vacuum machines.
• Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums.
• Sets up chairs and tables, etc. for special events and folds and stores them after the event.
• Moves large items in and out of storage.
• Performs custodial/housekeeping duties as assigned when not involved in moving projects.
• Assists in handing drapes and dividers and takes them down for cleaning.
