WellSpan Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I for the OR area on a night shift schedule (11:30pm–8:00am), every other weekend and holidays. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with increases based on experience.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, offices, and hallways, moving furniture, operating floor care equipment, and assisting in the environmental services department as needed.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, understand and speak English to perform job functions.
Minimal education required; experience preference is <1 year.

Responsibilities

Moves furniture and heavy objects as required.
Cleans vents and equipment with vacuums and tools.
Operates floor cleaners, polishers and vacuums.
Assists in setting up for events and stores furniture afterward.

General Summary

Performs a variety of general and specialized cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. Assists in the environmental services department as needed to lift, move and relocate furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc.

Essential Functions

Performs duties of the Environmental Services Technician I.
Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors.
Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
Moves, removes, and relocates furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc. as directed.
Shampoos rugs and furniture. Cleans vents, fans, and other equipment using vacuum machines.
Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums.
Sets up chairs and tables, etc. for special events and folds and stores them after the event.
Moves large items in and out of storage.
Performs custodial/housekeeping duties as assigned when not involved in moving projects.
Assists in handing drapes and dividers and takes them down for cleaning.

Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
Attends meetings as required.
