Job summary

Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to assist the Environmental Services Supervisor with daily department needs and perform daily floor maintenance to keep facilities clean and safe for residents and staff.

You will receive and deliver supplies, schedule stripping and waxing, supervise and train staff, and support coverage needs, including heavy lifting and setting up rooms for meetings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in a lead role or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Environmental Services Supervisor with daily department needs.
• Perform daily floor maintenance and cleaning duties to maintain appearance and safety in the facility.
• Receive and deliver supplies for the department.
• Schedule stripping and waxing duties and monitor floor care tasks.
• Lead/train housekeepers/laundry aides/floor maintenance operators as needed.
• Support coverage needs, including moving heavy objects and setting up rooms for meetings or functions.
