Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Part-time Environmental Services Tech III (Floor Tech) for the Evening Shift to maintain floors and support the Environmental Services Department in Norfolk, VA. The role requires about 32 hours per week, with an evening schedule from 3 p.m.

to 11:30 p.m. Candidates should have 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience or equivalent, and High School Grad or Equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School Education.
• High School Grad or Equivalent preferred.
• Less than a year Environmental Associate Experience (Required).
• Floor Tech experience preferred in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of floors including mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing.
• Use of chemicals, equipment and safe work practices in daily duties.
• Cross trained to EST I competencies to cover cleaning duties when necessary.

Responsible for maintenance of floors. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment and cleaning applications to include: mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Cross trained to EST I competencies in order to provide cleaning duties when necessary.

1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required in lieu of High School Education.
