Overview

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Full‑time, Day Shift Environmental Services Tech III (Floor Tech) to support the Environmental Services Department. Hours/Shift: Full‑time, Day Shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Location: Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors, including mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping, and polishing.
• Practice safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Cross‑train to EST I competencies to provide additional cleaning duties when required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping/ESD experience required (in lieu of high school education).
• High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• Floor Tech experience preferred.
• Less than a year of experience as an Environmental Associate (required).
• Previous healthcare/hospitality experience preferred.
