The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain the facilities and patient care areas. Customer service is emphasized using the AIDET technique. The Environmental Services Technician is to maintain prescribed standards of cleanliness for assigned areas using germicidal solutions. Follows prescribed procedures and posted work schedules. Procedures may include utilizing chemicals and cleaning agents to maintain prescribed standards of cleanliness. Performs general cleaning consisting of floor cleaning emptying trash cleaning bathrooms including showers wiping down walls and cleaning windows. May also operate floor equipment to strip scrub and refinish floors shampoo carpets and clean baseboards.

Work Experience Preferred: Housekeeping experience in a health care setting.
Licenses & Certifications Minimum: None
Licenses & Certifications Preferred: Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician, Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician, through Association for the Healthcare Environmental or other relevant certifications.
Salary Range: $15.90 - $22.26 / Hour
