Job summary

Sagewood is seeking a full-time EVS Technician / Janitor to maintain cleanliness and order in our senior living community. Evening shift from 12:00pm to 8:30pm includes carpet and floor care and other custodial tasks, with pay $19.00-$21.00 per hour and vaccination requirement.

EVS Technician / Janitor

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00/hr based on years of experience
Schedule: 5 days a week working 12:00pm - 8:30pm
Location: 4555 E. Mayo Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85050
Vaccination: Flu vaccine required

Who you are:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively in English.
• Previous experience in hard floor and carpet care is preferred; but not required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required, as this role involves operating a golf cart.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and solvents, with a demonstrated commitment to safe handling practices.
• Willingness and ability to learn proper cleaning techniques and equipment care procedures.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team in a structured work environment.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to completing tasks accurately and on time.
• Can handle multiple tasks and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the workday. Must be able to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position; perform repetitive bending, reaching, and stretching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances. Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents. May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV and Hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
