Job summary

Mercy Hospital Perry is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform cleaning and sanitation throughout the facility, supporting infection control and patient well-being. The role is full-time, evening shift 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, with opportunities to grow and benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, tuition support and retirement matching for those working 32+ hours.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior hospital ES experience; ability to lift 50

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital environmental service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform manual tasks.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking per shift.

Qualifications:

- Preferred Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.
- Physical Requirements: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
