Job summary

Mercy Hospital Perry is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for the Full-Time Evening Shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). The role focuses on cleaning and sanitation across the healthcare facility to ensure infection control standards and regulatory requirements are met.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma and prior hospital environmental service experience, plus the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, perform manual tasks, and assist with patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.
• Physical requirements: lift 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist and squat.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.
• Physical Requirements: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
