Job summary

Fortune Bay Resort Casino in Tower, MN is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for the Afternoon Shift to maintain high cleanliness, safety, and guest comfort across the property.

You will follow daily checklists, work as part of a team, and handle bathrooms, public areas, and equipment with care. The role requires 18+ and the ability to lift up to 35 pounds; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal contact with guests to ensure quality guest service.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of cleaning products and use them properly.
  • Be neat in appearance and in uniform.
  • Properly use and care for Environmental Services equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness of bathrooms every 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned work area(s); cleaning in between machines, throwing away cups/trash, vacuuming and cleaning debris from the carpet/floors.
  • Empty all trash receptacles on the floor(s) deli, cash cages, and public areas.
  • Clean elevators stainless steel inside/out, walls and all touch areas.
  • Clean all glass doors/handles and entries throughout the entire shift.
  • Clean and dust all air units, displays, tv monitors, tops of machines.
  • Clean all touch areas, ATMs/Kiosks, employee break rooms.
  • Clean furniture in the lobby and pre-function area.
  • Vacuum lobby and 1st floor hallway, hotel hallways, empty trash and clean cans, clean elevators inside/out, clean doors, windows/ledges, exit and pool stairs.
  • Clean laundry room washer/dryer, laundry basket, vending machine, empty trash/clean can, wash walls, dust, vacuum mat, sweep/mop floor.
  • Clean workout room- machines/touch areas/glass, vacuum carpet, and empty trash.
  • Empty all trash and clean cans in the pool, clean all glass, window ledges, and debris on the floor.
  • Thoroughly clean men and women’s restrooms: sinks/countertops, mirrors, wall/stall doors, showers, empty trash and clean cans, sweep and mop floors.
  • Fill out shift check lists properly and report any potential dangers or hazards.
  • Report damage/repairs that are needed, to the departmental leadership or Maintenance.
  • Keep all cleaning equipment and tools in good working condition, report when repair parts are needed.
  • Empty garbage and recycling containers, bring trash and recycling to designated area(s) and place in the appropriate containers, break down boxes and place in designated containers.
  • Keep trash and recycling area clean and in order.
  • Perform/assist with taking trash and recycling to designated areas, compact trash, bale cardboard.
  • Report all injuries or cuts immediately to the Supervisor or Manager on Duty and fill out necessary paperwork.
  • Perform extra duties on slow shifts, (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Meets the company’s guest service standards.

Pay Grade: Grade 2

Starting Wage: $17.00 - $20.06

Gaming Class: Non-Compact/Non-Gaming

Position Summary:

The Environmental Service Technicians are responsible for providing for a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and comfort throughout the facilities, by prioritizing duties and maintaining daily check lists, serving as members of a team to ensure quality guest service while adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
