Job summary

Shriners Children's in Galveston, TX is seeking a full-time Hospital Housekeeper. You will clean patient rooms and hospital areas to keep spaces sanitary and conducive to healing, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and restocking supplies.

Shifts include day and evening hours with weekend/holiday rotation. Preferred qualifications include floor care experience, 1 year of environmental services, and a High School Diploma or GED.

This position is an important part of our team because you will keep the patient's room clean so the patient and family can focus on healing. Cleaning services include: sweeping, damp mopping and waxing floors; vacuuming rugs, carpets, upholstery and draperies; dust furniture, wash walls, equipment and high touch areas according to departmental policies.Hours: This is a full time float position. Will work day (6:15am-3:15pm) and evening (2:45pm-11:15pm) shifts.
