Responsibilities include thorough cleaning, waste handling, and maintenance of a safe, infection-controlled environment for patients and staff. The position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred: One year experience
• Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Can operate equipment
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, sanitizing furniture, washing surfaces, floor care, vacuuming, and restroom restocking.
• Reports repairs, replaces light bulbs, and may assist with outdoor cleaning such as parking lots, windows, and roofs.
• Removes waste: collects soiled linen, empties trash, changes sharps containers, transports waste, recycles, and handles cigarette receptacles.
• Keeps equipment clean, reports issues to maintenance, and maintains a safe, compliant work environment with infection control standards.
