Job summary

Dept Behavioral Health/Develop is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to uphold a clean and safe hospital environment at Eastern State Hospital.

The role involves daily cleaning and sanitizing, contributing to infection control and patient comfort. Experience in healthcare housekeeping and familiarity with OSHA/state health standards are preferred. This is a general public - G recruitment.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience in healthcare or institutional setting preferred.
• Experience in training and mentoring new housekeeping staff preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in healthcare facilities (OSHA, state health departments) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment in hospital settings through daily cleaning and sanitizing.

Job Duties

This position ensures a clean, safe, and healthy environment within a hospital setting by performing daily cleaning and sanitizing duties. This role directly contributes to infection control, patient comfort, and overall safety by maintaining high standards of cleanliness in patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, office areas, and other facility spaces. Responsibilities may include waste disposal, floor care, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and reporting maintenance needs.
