Job summary

Intermountain Health LDS Hospital is seeking a full-time housekeeping specialist to maintain sanitary, safe, and attractive patient areas in compliance with Joint Commission standards. The role emphasizes cleaning, disinfection, waste handling, and spill response across assigned areas.

Shifts are variable (3:30pm–2am), Sunday through Saturday, 40 hours weekly, with benefits including medical, dental, vision and education assistance.

Qualifications

  • One or more year of experience in custodial, housekeeping or janitorial work.
  • Able to differentiate color-coded labels and/or chemicals and follow written/verbal directions.
  • Flexible schedule to meet department needs.
  • Professional housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department procedures.
  • Use cleaning chemicals properly per Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
  • Dispose of infectious waste and trash per guidelines.
  • Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines.
  • Follow infection prevention practices including PPE and hand hygiene.
