Wingspan Care Group, a nonprofit umbrella organization, is seeking an Environmental Services Technician in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and the overall environment of the assigned work area.

The Environmental Services Director will assign tasks for each area and ensure standards are met. Responsibilities include daily cleaning, restroom sanitation, restocking, security checks, event setup, and safe handling of cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.
• Licensure: none
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• 1 year experience in the field

Responsabilités

• Daily cleaning of the assigned work area, including emptying trash, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms.
• Replenish dispensers and ensure facilities are stocked.
• Inspect and secure buildings; report security problems or needed repairs.
• Set up and breakdown of events, including moving tables, chairs, and food.
• Safely store and secure tools, cleaning supplies and chemicals; do not leave unattended.
• Work with colleagues as a team to accomplish tasks.
• Keep storage room doors closed and locked.
• Interact with clients professionally.
• Remain in your assigned area unless supplies or emergencies require you to move.
• Close and lock all doors and windows and turn off lights before leaving.

SHIFTS AND TIMES

• Must be able to available during the day (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM),evenings (2:00 PM to 10 PM), and weekends/holidays as needed.

SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Environmental Services Technician is the cleanliness and general environment of the assigned work area. The Director of Environmental Services will provide specific assignments for each work area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Daily cleaning of the assigned work area, including but not limited to:
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners
  • Vacuum carpeted areas
  • Dust
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms including toilets, face bowls, counter tops, floors, vents
  • Replenish all dispensers (paper towel, toilet tissue, soap, sanitizer, etc.)
  • Inspect and sweep entrances and clean ash trays
  • Damp mop floors daily
  • Machine scrub Residential restrooms’ floors twice a week
  • Speed buff floors as directed.
• Must accurately fill out Daily Checklist.
• Responsible for inspection and security of buildings. Supervisor must be notified of security problems or needed repairs.
• Set-up and breakdown of events, which could include moving of tables, chairs and/or food.
• Employees are responsible for keeping tools, cleaning supplies and chemicals safe. This includes everything from screwdrivers, to Windex, to paint thinner. Hand tools, cleaning supplies and chemicals of any sort are not to be left unattended. Employees are responsible for returning these items to where they got them from and securing them when they have completed using either chemicals or tools.
• Work with fellow employees as a team participant.
• Storage room doors must be closed and locked at all times.
• Employee must interact with clients in an appropriate manner.
• Environmental Services technician must remain in their assigned work area for the duration of their shift. Contact the supervisor if you need supplies or if an emergency should arise.
• Close and lock all doors and windows and turn off lights before exiting a building.
