Job Description

Job Summary: This position performs a variety of housekeeping duties throughout the Hospital complex to ensure a clean, presentable, and sanitary environment. The role supports the Hospital's and department's Continuous Quality Improvement and customer service goals, both individually and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Selects cleaning materials and supplies from supply room. Loads service cart and transports to assigned work area.
2. Cleans assigned areas following policies and procedures, using hospital-approved germicidal solutions.
3. Sweeps, dusts, mops, vacuums floors, and uses various cleaning machinery. Washes walls, windows, and ceilings as needed.
4. Uses cleaning tools to clean window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture. Empties trash and waste receptacles, arranges furniture, and makes beds with clean linens.
5. Polishes sinks, fixtures, and mirrors. Replenishes supplies of soap, linens, and paper products.
6. Performs tile floor stripping, refinishing, and maintenance.
7. Reports supply needs, mechanical failures, or environmental issues to supervisors.
8. Moves furniture for cleaning, replaces mattresses as needed.
9. Returns unused supplies, collects and disposes of trash and linens. Cleans equipment daily.
10. Adheres to service principles focusing on innovation, excellence, and teamwork to provide quality care and service.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Manual dexterity for operating cleaning equipment.

Pay Range

$18.00-$27.00 Hourly
