Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, OR is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to clean and sanitize patient rooms and hospital areas, protecting patients and staff from infections and hazards.

You will perform routine cleaning, use specialized equipment, and follow disposal procedures for biohazards, ensuring supplies are stocked and facilities maintained in a safe condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash, scrub, dust, polish, vacuum, mop, disinfect patient rooms, treatment/exam rooms, clean bathrooms; scrub sinks and showers; service and clean staff areas, offices, corridors, utility rooms, tiles, windows, blinds, furniture, mirrors, fixtures, walls, doors, refrigerators, etc.
• Properly handles chemicals per MSDS and uses the proper personal protection equipment.
• Upon dismissal of a patient, strip the room, properly dispose of linen and trash, clean and disinfect bed, frame, mattress and pillow, remake bed.
• Maintains supplies for area, keeping cart properly stocked and neat, organizes areas, report light bulbs, etc.
• Properly labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers.
