Job summary

Good Samaritan – Bethany in Brainerd, MN is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient and resident areas. Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms and common areas following infection control and safety guidelines.

The role is full-time, day shift 8:00am–4:30pm, 40 hours per week, with every-other weekend and rotating holidays. A high school diploma and six months of cleaning experience are preferred, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident areas.
• Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors.
• Clean patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms and common areas.
• Wear protective equipment and keep storage areas clean and stocked.
• Assist in laundry and use technology applications as available.
• Work hours vary, including weekends and holidays.
