Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient and resident areas. You will perform cleaning tasks in accordance with infection control and safety guidelines, including waste disposal, floor care, and room preparation.

The role is full-time day shift (5:30am-2pm when applicable), 40 hours/week, with a location premium of $2.50/hr.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful. Knowledge of cleaning methods and chemicals is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas according to infection control and safety guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks including emptying waste, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and floor care with appropriate equipment.
• Wear PPE and keep storage areas, equipment and carts organized and clean.
• Assist in laundry areas as appropriate and may use technology applications as needed.
