Job summary

Crisp Regional Health System is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for the 3PM to 11PM shift in Cordele, GA. You will clean patient rooms and hospital common areas, following infection-prevention standards and established schedules to support patient safety and throughput.

The role involves routine and discharge cleaning, handling biohazardous waste, assisting with event setup, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Up to three months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• OSHA exposure category position; annual PPD screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, discharge, and isolation cleaning of patient rooms and common areas according to established schedules, methods and standards.
• Clean fixtures, walls, floors, vents, and lights as scheduled.
• Perform basic floor care using dry and wet mops, floor scrubbers, and vacuums; clean elevator floors and door tracks daily.
• Empty trash on a prescribed cycle.
• Remove regulated medical waste and biohazardous trash following safety, containment and infection-control procedures.
• Respond promptly to STAT cleaning requests from nursing and medical staff.
• Clean up emergency spills when observed or requested.
• Assist with setup for meetings, events, and training programs, and move furniture per work orders.
• Keep assigned equipment clean.
• Report needed repairs to equipment, furniture, buildings, and fixtures.
• Communicate problems and concerns to leadership, and support teamwork on every shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
