Job Details
- Supervise and coordinate staffing and daily operations for the PM shift (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.); rotate to other shifts as needed to meet departmental and operational needs.
- Prepare and maintain staff schedules, process scheduling changes, accurately track paid time off (PTO), and complete timecards for payroll processing.
- Conduct ATP testing in patient care areas and the Operating Room suite to monitor cleaning effectiveness.
- Perform routine room inspections and quality assurance evaluations.
- Monitor, test, and replace departmental cleaning chemicals as required.
- Order and maintain inventory of cleaning chemicals, environmental services supplies, and patient care linen.
- Utilize basic computer applications and effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all Environmental Services and Linen Department positions and perform departmental duties as operational needs require.
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, folders, and lift baskets.
- Coordinate linen collection, sorting, processing, distribution, and transfers to satellite locations.
- Ensure proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and safety standards.
- Perform environmental support duties, including waste removal, furniture movement, patient equipment relocation, sharps container replacement, biohazard trailer and compactor management, curtain changes, and floor care operations.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, OSHA regulations, and departmental procedures.
- Train, coach, and provide ongoing guidance to staff while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and customer service.

Minimum Education Required
High School or equivalent required
Minimum Experience Required:
Two (2) years of supervisory experience, including responsibility for managing staff, preferably in environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field required.
