Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Facilities Management/Environmental Services professional to uphold high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency. The role focuses on supervising staff, implementing policies, and coordinating with Engineering for remodeling or repairs, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains departmental records, reports and files required.
• Assists with establishing quality levels and standards. Schedules and assigns work to individuals and inspects work upon completion.
• Tours and inspects areas for quality of work performed.
• Inspects housekeeping equipment for wear, tear and replacement.
• Instructs personnel in use of new equipment, cleaning techniques and cleaning agents.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and oversees replacement.
• Coordinates repair and remodeling projects with Engineering Division.
• Assumes management responsibility in absence of Operations Manager.
• Supervises employees directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal and work allocation.
• Plans, organizes, and directs functions and activities of Environmental Services Division to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Performs other related duties assigned or requested.
