Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a skilled housekeeper to support Environmental Services. This role emphasizes teamwork, professional conduct, and attention to cleanliness across campus facilities.

Required is a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of housekeeping experience. You will assist with policies, maintain records, ensure quality, and help manage shifts and equipment in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years of experience as a Housekeeper.
• Ability to assist with departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains departmental records, reports and files required.
• Assists with establishing quality levels and standards. Schedules and assigns work to individuals and inspects work upon completion.
• Tours and inspects areas for quality of work performed.
• Inspects housekeeping equipment for wear, tear and replacement.
• Instructs personnel in use of new equipment, cleaning techniques and cleaning agents.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and oversees replacement.
• Coordinates repair and remodeling projects with Engineering Division.
• Assumes management responsibility in absence of Operations Manager.
• Supervises employees directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal and work allocation.
• Plans, organizes, and directs functions and activities of Environmental Services Division to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Performs other related duties assigned or requested.
