Menno Haven is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to manage the housekeeping department in our health care setting. This role includes leading daily staff activities, overseeing scheduling, and addressing resident concerns with professionalism.

The position emphasizes infection control, audit processes, and communication with the Health Care Center Administrator. Strong leadership, budgeting awareness, and confidentiality are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience in a health care center preferred.
• Previous supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the housekeeping department, including daily staff oversight, including but not limited to hiring, orienting, scheduling, following up on resident concerns, and disciplinary reports.
• Understand and implement basic infection control principles to support the infection prevention program.
• Conduct regular audits of housekeeping services to ensure spaces are sanitary, neat, clean, and organized.
• Report issues related to equipment, facility conditions, or staffing to the Administrator in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with policies.
• Request supplies, chemicals, and equipment within budgetary limitations.
