Job summary

Claiborne Medical Center, part of Covenant Health in Tennessee, seeks a Supervisor of Housekeeping, Environmental Services. This full-time role oversees the housekeeping department, maintains equipment and supplies, and ensures adequate staffing for day shifts.

Applicants should have at least two years of supervisory housekeeping experience, a valid Tennessee driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of housekeeping and/or supervisory experience required.
• Valid Tennessee driver's license Class D and state minimum insurance; driving record must meet Covenant Health standards.
• HS diploma or GED is preferred (see minimum education).

Responsibilities

• Functions as supervisor for all housekeeping personnel and directs work activities.
• Schedules shifts, vacations, etc., ensuring adequate coverage and coordinates staff relief.
• Participates in hiring, termination, and evaluation of staff based on job performance.
• Trains and orients personnel in proper procedures and techniques.
• Determines supplies needed to perform the jobs, orders and maintains supplies and equipment.
• Responsible for the laundry service and schedule to meet patient needs.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness in public areas and restrooms; reports issues.
• Local travel required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
