The Village at Orchard Ridge in Winchester, VA is seeking an EVS Supervisor to lead environmental services, housekeeping and laundry activities, ensuring spaces meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident comfort. This full-time, day-shift role offers $22.00 to $28.00 per hour with final offer based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent education required; some college preferred.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience preferred; environmental services experience preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental services, including detergents, germicides, and cleaning supplies.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and infection control procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English; effective communication at all levels.
• Experience with staff scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental, housekeeping and laundry activities; may oversee security at specific communities.
• Supervise EVS team members, assigning daily work responsibilities.
• Establish schedules and conduct inspections to maintain high service levels.
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs and oversee waste management.
• Coordinate moves of furniture and equipment for events or operations.
• Inspect rooms and common areas; report maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
• Provide training, support and direction to EVS staff; uphold standards.
• Perform additional duties to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

What We’re Seeking

• Supervise and manage all environmental services team members, assigning daily work responsibilities.
• Establish and record appropriate schedules to maintain high levels of service; conduct routine inspections and evaluate cleanliness of the community.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning needs and oversee waste management in compliance with protocols.
• Coordinate furniture and equipment moves for events or operational needs.
• Inspect rooms and common areas for maintenance needs; report issues such as leaks, damaged fixtures, or repair requirements to the appropriate department.
• Provide training, support, and direction to EVS team members; communicate standards clearly and offer feedback.
• Perform and delegate additional duties as assigned to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
