Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Housekeeper to support Environmental Services. The role involves implementing departmental policies, maintaining records, and supervising staff to ensure quality work and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include enforcing standards, training personnel, managing inventory and coordinating with Engineering for repairs. This position requires a High School Diploma and 2 years of housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains departmental records, reports and files required.
• Assists with establishing quality levels and standards. Schedules and assigns work to individuals and inspects work upon completion.
• Tours and inspects areas for quality of work performed.
• Inspects housekeeping equipment for wear, tear and replacement.
• Instructs personnel in use of new equipment, cleaning techniques and cleaning agents.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and oversees replacement.
• Coordinates repair and remodeling projects with Engineering Division.
• Assumes management responsibility in absence of Operations Manager.
• Supervises employees directly, including selection, training, performance appraisal and work allocation.
• Plans, organizes, and directs functions and activities of Environmental Services Division to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Performs other related duties assigned or requested.
