UAB Medicine in Florida seeks a Cleaner to perform professional cleaning duties in university spaces, adhering to cleanliness standards while interacting with students and staff. Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or GED, with previous housekeeping experience preferred.
The role involves general cleaning tasks, maintaining high-traffic areas, and responding to urgent cleaning needs. The starting hourly rate is $15, and flexibility in scheduling is required.
Performs a variety of routine and major professional cleaning duties in public and private spaces of the university. Responds to urgent cleaning needs as a result of spills or accidents. Adheres to established schedule to maintain cleanliness standards. Uses professional cleaning products, equipment and techniques. Interacts with customers, visitors, students, coworkers and others in a friendly, helpful and professional manner. Assists other team members with daily work and special projects. Uses assigned communication device.
Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
$15.00 per hour
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including Monday-Friday, 4:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Shifts are subject to change to meet the needs of the University.
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Some positions require that driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession of a valid driver's license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
