Job summary

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is hiring a Manager - Environmental Services to lead the Environmental Services and Distribution departments, oversee staffing, budgets, and operations, and drive a clean, safe patient environment.

The role requires 2-5 years of supervisory experience and a high school diploma; a Bachelor's in Business is preferred. The successful candidate will align with our commitment to quality care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 2-5 years in Environmental Services or related.
• Supervisor experience: 2-5 years.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
• Experience: 5-10 years in supervisory roles.

• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.

• Sets strategic direction and ensures necessary resources are in place to support each department's goals.
• Ensures Environmental Services and Distribution Services operate according to environmental and regulatory compliance codes and guidelines to protect the organization from liability, licensure and accreditation deficiencies and penalties.

Overview

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties.

The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area.

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers.

Environmental Services provides housekeeping, linen, floor care and waste management services for the entire MBSH campus. Our environmental services staff are vital to maintaining an infection free and positive facility image.

Responsible for the general management of and accountability for the Environmental Services and Distribution departments.

Responsibilities

Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.

Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.

Manages overall operations of Environmental Services and Distribution Services.

Sets strategic direction and ensures necessary resources are in place to support each departments‘ goals.

Ensures Environmental Services and Distribution Services operate according to environmental and regulatory compliance codes and guidelines to protect the organization from liability, licensure and accreditation deficiencies and penalties.
