Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is hiring a full-time Housekeeper to clean patient rooms and common areas, providing a reassuring presence for patients and families. The role is part of Environmental Services and supports infection control and facility image.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek with a night shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, rotating holidays and weekends, and requires walking and direct patient interaction. Daily Pay is available as a payment option.

Competenze

Overview

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties.

The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area.

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers.

Environmental Services provides housekeeping, linen, floor care and waste management services for the entire MBSH campus. Our environmental services staff are vital to maintaining an infection free and positive facility image.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Housekeeper is an environmental services worker who is responsible for daily housekeeping services as assigned, using procedures as outlined by the hospital or service organization.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
• Performs room set up and changes as needed, including changing linens, cleaning, mopping and furnishing.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure.
• Notifies supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that are in need of maintenance.
