Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a structured, approximately sixteen-week, interactive training experience. It covers various management aspects, including:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Hands-on learning of housekeeping, laundry, and equipment operation.
  • Leadership Development: Assisting in staff training, quality control, and compliance.
  • Policies & Procedures: Ensuring standards, safety, inventory, and customer service are met.
  • Reporting: Maintaining records on income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training and quality assurance.
  • Leadership: Managing payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Convey directives effectively from management to staff.
  • Safety: Use PPE, handle cleaning solutions safely, and follow infection control protocols.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communication.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG professionally and courteously.
  • Experience: Positive interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training, with safety as a priority.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residence within the service area.
