Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The approximately sixteen-week program includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform tasks of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and federal/state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to meet quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing to meet HCSG standards.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities including payroll, staffing, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Communication: Effectively communicate directives from management to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, handle cleaning solutions properly, and follow safety protocols.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communications.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
  • Experience: Engage in positive interactions with residents, staff, and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and perform routine physical tasks.
  • Work around food and cleaning products.
  • Reside within the service area.
