Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers an interactive, approximately sixteen-week training experience designed to develop your management skills. The program includes:

  • General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform duties across housekeeping, heavy housekeeping/floor tech, and laundry roles, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and regulations.
  • Policies & Procedures: Learn to provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure quality, safety, and customer service standards are met.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
  • Training & Quality Control: Responsible for staff training, quality assurance, and documentation through QCIs.
  • Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities including payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication: Effectively convey directives from management to staff.
  • Safety: Use protective gear, follow safety protocols, report malfunctions, and adhere to infection control policies.
  • Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and respond promptly to communication.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
  • Experience: Maintain positive, tactful interactions with staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
  • Leadership skills post-training to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residence within the service area.
