Position Summary
Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program offers you the chance to learn and grow within an established company with over 45 years of experience. The program lasts approximately sixteen (16) weeks and includes hands-on and computer-based training covering:
- General Training & Comprehension: Learn and perform tasks related to housekeeping, heavy housekeeping/floor tech, and laundry, including operating industrial cleaning equipment.
- Leadership Development: Assist in training, quality control, and staff in-servicing according to policies and procedures and federal/state requirements.
- Policies & Procedures: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to meet quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations.
- Reporting: Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
- Training: Responsible for staff training, quality control, and in-servicing, including site assessments using QCIs.
- Leadership: Handle managerial responsibilities like payroll, staffing, coaching, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
- Communication: Effectively communicate directives from management to staff.
- Safety: Use PPE, ensure safe use of cleaning solutions, report equipment needs, and follow infection control protocols.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance, respond promptly to communications, and complete tasks on schedule.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions.
- Experience: Engage in positive interactions with staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude, ability to follow instructions, and perform routine tasks.
- Leadership skills post-training to perform responsibilities independently and safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills, including web-based reporting.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds, and perform routine physical tasks.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must reside in the service area.
