Job summary

Aramark is seeking an Environmental Services Worker Lead in Chicago to provide hands-on leadership for hourly staff during events and to perform core cleaning tasks. You will supervise assignments, assist with supplies, and help ensure high-quality cleaning services in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in environmental services, strong communication skills, and the ability to train and motivate staff while adhering to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in environmental services.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist management at beginning and end of shift with sign-in, supplies, and equipment sign out.
• Assist in preparation and delivery of supplies to meet staff needs.
• May assess public restrooms and on-call rooms.
• Adhere to departmental sanitation procedures.
• Report safety, injuries, and disciplinary issues.
• Supervise staff assignments to ensure quality cleaning services.
• Formulate action plans to correct inefficiencies and quality discrepancies.
• Assist in employee training, coaching, and motivation.
• Maintain records for quality control systems.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and client standards.
