Job summary

Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY, is seeking an ES Assistant Supervisor for a full-time day shift. The role supports the Supervisor in all department operations, performing housekeeping, floor care, scheduling, training, and oversight at on-campus and off-campus sites.

Essential responsibilities include ensuring building cleanliness, coordinating with the Supervisor, hiring and training, managing inventory and orders, and participating in special projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior Environmental Services and supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to develop effective supervisory skills required.
• Also has floor care experience.

The primary role of the ES Assistant Supervisor is to perform tasks and assume responsibilities that provide assistance to the Supervisor in all aspects of department operations.

• Provides supervision and assistance at the off-campus sites.

Education Certifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior Environmental Services and supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to develop effective supervisory skills required.
• Also has floor care experience.

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques preferred.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment required.

Pay Range

$17.85 - $21.76

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
