Job summary

Casa of Fort Wayne Health Campus is seeking an EVS Assistant/Housekeeper in Fort Wayne, Indiana to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus for residents and staff.

The role supports nursing staff, follows infection-control procedures, and requires dependable attendance. Weekend, holiday, and extended shifts may be needed; a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Dependable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts when needed.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Make resident beds and replace linens as scheduled or directed.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, disinfect, and spot-clean floors and carpets.
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, baseboards, fixtures, furnishings, and other surfaces.
• Empty trash and handle waste and biohazardous materials.
• Complete terminal and discharge cleaning with nursing staff.
• Clean isolation rooms following infection-control procedures.
• Restock housekeeping carts and store supplies and equipment.
• Use caution signs and follow all safety procedures.
• Help maintain an orderly, comfortable environment throughout the campus.
