Position: Environmental Services Floor Tech

Join us at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital as an Environmental Services Floor Tech. This role involves maintaining cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming environment across all campus buildings. The position is full-time, entry-level, with responsibilities including:

  1. Cleaning floors, furnishings, and equipment using appropriate solutions and disinfectants.
  2. Dusting window sills, blinds, and furniture.
  3. Empting trash and managing recycling.
  4. Cleaning sinks, tubs, showers, and mirrors.
  5. Replenishing soap, paper towels, and other disposables.
  6. Washing walls, ceilings, and windows.
  7. Transporting linens and trash using the company vehicle.
  8. Assisting with laundry and patient discharge room cleaning.
  9. Cross-training in other areas like OR and clinics as needed.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), experience in institutional cleaning, and the ability to follow instructions and work under pressure. Physical requirements involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 45 lbs, with pre-employment physical assessment required.
