Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Operations Manager 1 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. This role oversees 2nd-shift housekeeping teams, drives safety, compliance, and efficient service delivery, and reports to the Operations Manager 2.

The position is evening/shift work with potential weekends and holidays. You will lead frontline staff, manage daily operations, set direction, and participate in performance reviews and staffing decisions.

Sodexo is currently seeking an Environmental Services Operations Manager 1 for Baptist Medical Center located in Jacksonville, FL. This Manager will have oversight of hourly housekeeping staff on the 2nd shift (approximate start time of 3 PM).The hospital is licensed for 750+ beds including Wolfson Children’s Hospital and the manager will report to the Operations Manager 2. This position is an evening shift and may include some weekends and holidays.About the jobIn this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services that prioritize safety, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll manage daily operations, guide team development, and help maintain high standards that create clean, healthy, and welcoming environments.Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities.
