Job summary

Fairview Range in Hibbing, MN is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to provide high-quality cleaning in an assigned area following department procedures and infection-control standards.

The role supports a housekeeping environment, handles supplies, and documents tasks while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time evening-shift position with every-other weekend, offering benefits within the Fairview Range network.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral directions.
• Aptitude for successful completion of tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to interact effectively through communication.

• Able to function under pressure and in stressful situations.
• Able to read, write and add numbers.

Responsibilities

• Provide a superior level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment consistent with department procedures and protocol.
• Uses proper chemicals and dilution ratios and supplies for tasks and replenishes supplies.
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of infection control standards, isolation room cleaning, PPE and hand hygiene techniques.
• Follows proper procedures for assigned areas and properly documents work assignments.
• Properly handles and disposes of regulated, non-regulated and recyclable waste.
• Remains flexible to change in assignments and tasks as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of linen, assembles distributes adequate amounts of linen to locations and delivery procedures including weighing and documenting weights and adjusting par levels, and removes stained/damaged linen for repair.
• Complies with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates completion of cleaning standards by evidence of quality inspections.

Fairview Range is hiring an Environmental Services Assistant in our Housekeeping Department in Hibbing, MN.

As an Environmental Service Assistant, you will Provide an outstanding level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment consistent with department procedures and protocols.

Schedule

This position will work 40 hours per two weeks on the Evening shift. Weekends: Every Other Weekend

• Demonstrates knowledge of linen, assembles distributes adequate amounts of linen to locations and delivery procedures including accurately weighing and documenting weights to appropriate departments, adjusting par levels as needed and removes stained and damaged linen needing repair from inventory.
• Demonstrates knowledge and procedures and complies with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate successful completion of cleaning standards by evidence of quality inspections.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years cleaning experience
