Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York seeks an Environmental Services Aide for the Koch Center. You will perform daily cleaning to create a safe, healing environment for patients and staff, following the Seven Step Guidelines and hospital procedures.

No prior Environmental Services experience is required; training is provided to help you succeed. You will operate cleaning equipment, handle waste, and participate in meetings and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning using Seven Step Guidelines.
  • Safely remove general and infectious waste and soiled linen.
  • Handle and mix cleaning chemicals per safety standards.
  • Operate equipment such as cardboard baler and trash compactor.
  • Support unit operations with small moves or room setups.
  • Attend department meetings and required training sessions.
  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, safety, and workflow.
