Job summary

The Village at Orchard Ridge, a part of National Lutheran Communities & Services, is seeking an Environmental Services Aide (Housekeeper) who takes pride in keeping resident apartments, common areas, and community spaces clean and inviting to support residents’ health and wellbeing.

You will perform routine tasks, follow safety and infection control procedures, respond to resident requests, and help maintain a welcoming, resident‑centered atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing housekeeping equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident apartments, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, and waste removal.
• Maintain cleanliness of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Replenish supplies and ensure housekeeping carts and storage areas remain organized.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and environmental services procedures.
• Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and concerns.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Support a positive, resident-centered environment through exceptional customer service.

Pay Range: $15.50 - $18.00/hour (Final offer based on candidate's experience and culinary skills)

In this role, you will help ensure that resident apartments, common areas, and community spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellent service will help create a welcoming atmosphere that residents, families, and team members are proud to call home.

What You'll Do
