Job summary

Ashtabula Regional Medical Center in Ohio seeks an Environmental Services worker to perform a variety of duties around the hospital, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, English literacy, and knowledge of sanitation and infection control; a valid driver’s license and driving experience are required for transporting patients/visitors.

Performs a variety of Environmental Services duties in and around the hospital in order to support a pleasant, safe, and workable healthcare environment as well as promote patient satisfaction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High School education/General Education Development (GED)required. Must be able to read, write and understand English at an eighth grade level. Must be able to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions. Strong costumer focus skills. Should have knowledge of sanitation and infection control techniques. Good organizational skills. Knowledge of institutional equipment and supplies.

Required Length and Type of Experience

Required Licensure or Certification

• Current Valid State Driver's License (VDL)
• Minimum of two years of driving experience; minimum of five years of driving experience if transporting patients and/or visitors.
• Zero points preferred on driver’s license and cannot exceed six points total allowable.
• Maintain evidence of personal auto insurance.
• Assume responsibility to pay fees associated with traffic violations.
• Must maintain eligibility of insurability as determined by ARMC's insurance carrier's requirement to operate organization’s vehicles

Required Physical and Environmental Demands

• Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50lbs. Performance if job duties require standing, bending, and walking for duration of an 8-hour shift. Assist with moves and set-ups to deliver the service we provide. Performs all other duties as assigned.
