Job summary

Scenic Living Communities in Iowa Falls, IA is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a sanitary and infection-free environment for residents. Full-time role with a 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule and every other weekend rotation.

The position includes housekeeping and laundry tasks, operation of vacuums and shampooers, and use of proper PPE. We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Experience in commercial, hotel or hospital laundry settings is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and shampooers.
• Requires working in damp, dusty and dirty areas. At times must clean up human waste and other body fluids, as needed.
• Handles various cleaning solvents and chemicals and is required to use the proper personal protection equipment.
• May be asked to fulfill various resident requests within reason.

Role
