Job summary

Eastern Iowa Rehab Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Environmental Service Aide to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment across patient rooms, public areas, and offices.

You will support infection control and contribute to a positive patient experience through thorough cleaning and organization. This role requires professionalism and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Cleaning or housekeeping experience is strongly preferred.
• Must maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
