Job summary

Bend Surgery Center in Bend, OR is hiring housekeeping personnel to maintain a clean and safe facility. You will perform routine cleaning, support the operating room team with terminal cleaning, and follow PPE and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.

Minimum high school diploma required; healthcare cleaning experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with an hourly pay range of $22.14–$35.93.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously cleans and maintains assigned areas.
  • Follows proper use of PPE.
  • Maintains a safe environment for self and others.
  • Performs routine daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks as directed.
  • Assists in handling instruments, supplies and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
  • Removes trash and laundry; participates in terminal cleaning.
  • Assists OR team with cleaning tasks and terminal cleaning.
  • Follows PHI and HIPAA protections and all safety policies.

Salary Range: $22.14 To $35.93 Hourly

Job Summary:

Housekeeping personnel are directly responsible for keeping the facility neat, clean, and tidy to inspection.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Does not oversee other staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Continuously cleans and maintains assigned areas
  • Follows proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Works in a manner which provides a safe environment for self and others
  • Routine daily, weekly and periodic cleaning or maintenance duties as directed
  • Maintaining housekeeping equipment in good repair and in clean condition
  • Assists in maintenance of instruments, supplies and equipment by proper cleaning, care and utilization as directed
  • Remove trash and laundry
  • Terminal cleaning
  • Assist operating room team with cleaning and terminal cleaning
  • Receive laundry and distribute
  • Adheres to safety policies and practices good body mechanics and ergonomics
  • Follows all rules and regulations for PHI and HIPAA protections of patient information
  • Follows all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, attendance, timeliness, and safeguarding confidential information
  • Reports incidents in a timely manner
  • Promotes patient and employee safety and communicates concerns appropriately, following Chain of Command
  • Attends in-service programs as requested
  • Performs other related duties as directed
Required Skills/Abilities:

Previous healthcare or commercial cleaning experience preferred.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required
