Job summary

ATSU in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking an Environmental Service Worker to perform cleaning of interior building areas, including classrooms, restrooms, offices, and labs. The role includes exterior entrance cleaning, trash removal, and occasional event setup/teardown with some night/weekend coverage.

The position is full-time with a 3:00pm–12:00AM shift, Monday through Friday with two Saturdays per month. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverages; eligibility-based benefits begin

Qualifications

• Ability to move around freely in a building, including navigating stairs and ramps.
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions from supervisors. Ability to work independently and take the initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision is often required.
• Ability to adapt to changes in work assignments and priorities is essential. Ability to identify and solve problems related to cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated interior of building areas including but not limited to dusting / wiping down surfaces, sinks, counter tops, desks, chairs, windows, fixtures, and ledges. Detail clean restrooms
• Clean hard surface and carpet floors.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
• Re-stock supply carts, closets, and designated areas.
• Move and set up furniture.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description

The Environmental Service Worker is San Luis Obispo, California, is responsible for the general cleaning of interior building areas that include but are not limited to classrooms, restrooms, offices, public spaces, entry ways, patient care facilities, lobbies, conference rooms, study rooms, and research and simulation labs. This position is also responsible for the exterior entrances to building areas to include but are not limited to emptying trash receptacles, cleaning sidewalks, and cleaning lobby door entrances. Additionally, the position will assist in special event setups/ teardowns that may include occasional night and weekend coverage.

The pay rate for this position starts at $21.00 per hour based on experience and education. Shift is Monday-Friday 3:00pm-12:00AM with two Saturdays a month.
