A.T. Still University (ATSU) Environmental Service Worker in San Luis Obispo, CA, maintains cleanliness across classrooms, offices, labs, and public areas.

This role includes exterior cleaning duties, trash removal, and setup for events, with occasional night/weekend coverage as needed. The position pays from $21.00 per hour, starting based on experience and education, with a Monday–Friday shift from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM and two Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• Must be able to move around a building, including stairs and ramps.
• Must be able to operate cleaning tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Clean designated interior building areas (classrooms, restrooms, offices, lobbies, study rooms, labs).
• Clean exterior entrances, sidewalks, and lobby doors.
• Empty trash and recycling; restock supplies.
• Move and set up furniture; assist in special event setups/teardowns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Environmental Service Worker is San Luis Obispo, California, is responsible for the general cleaning of interior building areas that include but are not limited to classrooms, restrooms, offices, public spaces, entry ways, patient care facilities, lobbies, conference rooms, study rooms, and research and simulation labs. This position is also responsible for the exterior entrances to building areas to include but are not limited to emptying trash receptacles, cleaning sidewalks, and cleaning lobby door entrances. Additionally, the position will assist in special event setups/teardowns that may include occasional night and weekend coverage.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean designated interior of building areas including but not limited to dusting / wiping down surfaces, sinks, counter tops, desks, chairs, windows, fixtures, and ledges.


• Detail clean restrooms


• Clean hard surface and carpet floors.


• Empty trash and recycling receptacles.


• Re-stock supply carts, closets, and designated areas.


• Move and set up furniture.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

The pay rate for this position starts at $21.00 per hour based on experience and education.

Shift is Monday-Friday 3:00pm-12:00AM with two Saturdays a month.
