Job summary

Veterans Health Administration at Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center is seeking a Housekeeping Aid to provide janitorial and custodial services across patient and non-patient care areas.

The role covers floor maintenance, window cleaning, waste disposal, restocking supplies, and safety with PPE where required. Working hours include 7:00am-3:30pm, with weekends/holidays possible depending on service needs.

Responsibilities

• Executes a full range of housekeeping activities in patient and non-patient care areas.
• May be assigned to any tour and may work in various designated areas during any tour of duty.
• Performs cleaning duties including floor maintenance, walls, doors, baseboards, stairs, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, buffing, vacuuming, carpet care, and high/low dusting.
• Transports and disposes of refuse and medical waste; cleans restrooms, showers, and lavatories; polishes fixtures and mirrors.
• Restocks supplies and participates in inventory management; cleans select non-critical equipment in inpatient and clinical areas.
• Cleans windows, replaces curtains, cleans blinds, and maintains dispensers with paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and sanitizers.
• Work schedule is Monday-Sunday 7:00am-3:30pm; shift may include weekends and holidays.
